For Katrina's maternity session we chose the Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz, CA. You guys, the coast off Route 1 is so SO pretty, and Natural Bridges did not disappoint!
We kept things light and airy with a handmade flowing pink skirt and simple floral crown, and I think they came together beautifully! And when I say handmade, I mean I was bent over my trusty Babylock sewing machine learning how to handle chiffon(!!!) and create skirt liners. Because Katrina is gorgeously tall, the original skirt we ordered was easily 10 inches too short, and has now been added to my own personal collection... lol :)
I'm also venturing into the world of hair and makeup artistry, and spent weeks reading up and watching you tube to learn how to apply makeup for photography as well as building my own kit (I was like a kid in a candy store at Sephora!). But that passion is for another blog post, and the short story is that the photos turned out beautifully. I can't wait to meet little Adam in a few weeks!
